What is Understitching?

Understitching keeps a lining or a facing from rolling onto the right side of a project. To create understitching subsequent to pressing the facing and the seam allowance away from the garment stitch through a very tiny 1/8’ from the seam. Some people trim the seam allowance prior to stitching eliminate bulk.
