What is a Clean Finish?

A Clean Finish is a when a raw edge is finished with serging, a zigzag stitch, pinking shears, turning under and pressing, etc. The reason for creating a clean finish on a project is to prevent raveling and to gain a ‘clean’ finish. A clean finish is exceptionally helpful with hems.
