The ball point is intended to push the fabric fibers apart, rather than puncturing and breaking fibers creating problems such as skipped stitches, runs, and puckers in knit fabric. The Klasse Ball Point Size 80/12 needle is best suited for materials such as: cotton knits interlock rib knits fleece double knit and most knit fabrics and use with polyester or polyester/cotton threads.
