Speed Control from Hose Handle

The Red Velvet uses a complete "direct connect" system with speed controls on a handy console at the top of the hose handle. This quick access gives you the power to electronically adjust the motor's output to optimize cleaning of any surface or object right at your fingertips. With this type of control, cleaning lamp shades, curtains and fabric window blinds becomes an almost joyful task undertaken with ease. Conventional dusting will also become an activity of the past when using your Red Velvet vacuum by Miele. SEB236 Powerbrush     Electrically powered carpet tool for direct connect electric hoses with a 13 3/8" wide brush roll with 5 height adjustments for a variety of carpet densities. Swivel neck for maneuverability, an integrated light and all-round bumper strip to protect your furniture and automatic shut-off when in the parked position. Requires a Direct Connect Wand & matching Direct Connect Hose.   Recommended for: Deep cleaning and restoring of crushed carpet nap on all densities of pile carpeting. SES electric hoses       A required component for the use of all electric powerbrushes. Versions vary depending on canister style used.   SET210 Wand       Sleekly designed, telescopic wand provides electrical supply to direct connect powerbrushes and direct connect hoses. Parquet floor tool       This straight suction floor tool has dual 11" wide rows of long, soft, natural bristles and rubber wheels to protect surfaces. Recommended for: Cleaning of all smooth surfaces, especially polished wood floors. Park system         For conveniently parking the vacuum cleaner during pauses as well as for carrying and storage. Insert the lower clip on the floor brush into the slot on the end of the vacuum cleaner from above. For example, if something is stuck in the passage and blocks the flow of air, the vacuum will switch itself off automatically. This indicator light will be illuminated to alert you to the problem and protect the motor from damage. Controls       Red Velvet offers six electronic variable suction control power settings from 250 to 1,200 watts via a console at the top of the hose handle.     Operating radius       Operating radius is determined by the length of the hose and the power cord. Miele is properly generous with both so there is up to 30 feet (9 meters) to use before you have to unplug and move to another outlet. Hygiene cover       Should the hose be removed for storage or carrying, a special hygiene cover can be closed to prevent odors or dust from escaping the dustbag compartment. Active H.E.P.A. Filter     The Active H.E.P.A. (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filter not only captures and retains tiny, lung-damaging particles (including dust mite feces and pollen), it also uses the same Generally Activated Charcoal filter (GAC) that the Active Air Clean filter uses to absorb odors.This Miele filter conforms to the new stringent European standard for filtration (EN 1822) which means that it actually traps 99.99% of all particles as tiny as 0.3 of a micron. These filters are so well designed that they only need to be replaced after 50 hours of use, or approximately 12 months.There is also a convenient spot to write the date on the filter, which takes the guesswork out of when the filter should be replaced. IntensiveClean Dustbags     Miele’s revolutionary new dustbags are made of a unique, new material. An intricate web of 3-ply random-spun fibers allow the IntensiveClean bag to retain significantly far more tiny particles and allergens than with conventional paper dustbags. The enhanced composition virtually eliminates clogging, improving suction performance even further.Millions of tiny dust particles are held tightly within its fibers, keeping the pores on the surface of the dustbag open longer. As a result, a Miele vacuum cleaner retains its excellent suction performance, even when the dustbag is full. Practically tear-proof, this special material virtually prevents damage caused by sharp, pointed items in the bag or through misuse during replacement. Stable response       The undercarriage has three high-quality, steel-mounted, smooth-running castors, making the Red Velvet extremely stable and very easy to maneuver around obstacles. The Red Velvet can also sit upright, making it very convenient for use on the stairs.   Quiet operation       Despite the impressive power of our 1100-watt, high-output motors, Miele vacuum cleaners are remarkably quiet. You will be able to hear the phone ringing and the radio playing. How do they do it? Thoughtfully-designed motor suspension and unique motor seal.   Blower facility       The blower facility enables easy cleaning of awkward corners. Simply remove the filter and insert the hose into the special socket in the vacuum cleaner. Bumper strip       A bumper strip encompasses the entire canister to prevent any damage to furniture and the vacuum cleaner itself. It also enhances the unit's ability to bump easily around corners and door jambs.   Integrated accessories       Useful for cleaning upholstery, shelves, baseboards and more.
