Sewing Speed Adjustment Slider

You can easily adjust the speed of your machine with this convenient slider. Great for doing delicate work and you need to slow things down. This feature is also great for beginner sewers. Set the adjustment to low and no matter how hard you press on the foot control the speed will not go over what you preset it for.

Automatic Needle Threader

Quick and easy needle threading. Just follow the track, follow the nine simple steps printed on the machine and press down the lever. Threaded.

Quick Set Bobbin System

The PC420 has an easy bobbin system. Just drop the bobbin in follow the path and your bobbin threaded. No more holding the hand wheel to bring up the bobbin thread, just drop it in and go. What a time saver!!!

Thread Tension Dial

The Brother PC420 has an internal tension which means no tension frustrations. Most things can be sewn without ever touching the tension. But it sure is nice to know if you want to do a specialty technique the tension can be easily changed.

6 Point Feed Dog

Drop Feed Dogs

With a simple switch you can lower the feed dogs on the PC420 this is great for free motion quilting or for darning.

With the exclusive My Custom Stitch feature, the user can create decorative stitches on the LCD panel. These can then be saved to memory for future use.

Alerts the user to oversights. For example, if the buttonhole lever has not been lowered, a sound and display message will notify the user.

Programmed Thread Trimming
When one of the pre-programmed thread-trimming operations is selected, the thread is automatically trimmed at the end of sewing.

Customized Settings
When required, the stitch width and length can be easily adjusted. All customized settings of the utility stitches can be stored in memory for future use.

Front Spool
The thread spool is situated on the front of the machine for easier threading.

F.A.S.T. Bobbin Winding System
Bobbin winding is easier. Wind the thread four or five times around the bobbin, pass it through the guide slot, and press the start button. Simple.

Presser Foot Pressure Adjustment
